FOCUS!

Going to try and keep this as short and sweet as possible today — currently sat with a fire lit and watching Harry Potter, typical Sunday evening activities really, but also doing my best to square away last week’s antics so I’m ready for the one approaching.

In short, I’ve issued heads of terms for the SA site I’ve been badgering on about for the past week or so. This will be a really great service, and I’m looking forward to getting the legals underway with all involved. A great result for the landlord and the new tenant, which I expect will be open toward the end of Q1 next year.

The highlight of my week was attending the launch of Cornwall Council’s Supported Housing Strategy (2023–2050) — a mouthful — with some truly amazing stakeholders, and a room full of people absolutely committed to making a difference for the local community. The demand and ambitions are equally enormous, and I’m proud to have been included in the launch on Friday.

Eluding to the picture at the start of this journal post, I’m looking forward to doubling down on the County, now my new home, and focussing all my efforts on accommodation provision (across SSH [supported exempt accommodation], or open market rentals).

I’ve reached out to a small number of land agents and surveyors in the County already, but I’ll be working to engage with a few more in the lead up to Christmas as I ramp up a pipeline of development sites.

Intros welcome…

A thoughtful read from this week:
